Personally, I don't think it is the parents fault. The schools can denying it all they want, but being that I graduated in 1997, I know how it works. There are the jocks, there are the preps (usually rich people who think they are better then everyone), there are the goths (a group of people wear all black and think they don't conform to any group other then the group they were already in. The nerdy people and the goths get made fun off alot. It is fact, as being someone who has made fun of people in high school, as well as receiving my share of abuse as well, lets face it I was a goth kid.

I will really never forgive myself for the way I treated one kid. He just wanted to sit at our table, and all I did was make his life a living hell during lunch. At the time you think it is funny, but now it is just sad and upsetting to realize that I could ever act like that.

The simple fact is the only people to blame in this case is those two kids. No one else, no one else pulled the trigger.

Mega-dittoes. I have taken a pet interest in this story ever since it happened, I find it to be one of the understated tragedies of our time. The events of that day, and even moreso the aftermath, say an awful lot about who we are.

You have two people, and two people only, who are responsible for what happened. But, they had to go out and kill themselves, so that ruined the party for the psychologists who were salivating over this one. Not the trial lawyers, of course, who would have been suing everyone else if if Dylan and Eric had lived.

There are always sharks circling in the water, and anytime there is a tragedy, here they come to attack. And I don't mean just the lawyers. I'm talking about the chatterers, the media, the school psychologists, the pundits, the politicians.....all trying to expoloit the situation for their own gain.

My heart goes out to the parents of those who died. But all the money in the world won't bring their loved ones back, so why would collecting the policy limits of the Jefferson County Police Department make it any better?

I'm not gonna exonerate my legal brothers and sisters who are whoring off of this, but they aren't the only ones.

One thing to always keep in mind- their original plan was to have a bomb go off inside the school, which would then be evacuated, and then Dylan and Eric were going to be waiting outside, and start firing into the crowd. They had automatic weapons, there's no telling how high the death toll would have been.
